To develop affordable housing and to provide life support skills for intellectually and/or developmentally disabled adults, homeless disabled veterans, and homeless foster children/young adults in transition.
Open Hearts Open Arms is a charitable nonprofit organization chartered in Tennessee that has been established to provide a variety of support services to adults with intellectual disabilities and individuals who have aged out of the foster system in the Blount County area.
Are you passionate about what we are doing? Right now we are in need of volunteers from the Blount County area that have a connection to the Intellectual Disability world or have a passion and a means to support Open Hearts Open Arms as it grows through these initial stages. We’re currently in the process of acquiring licensure through the State of Tennessee’s Department of Developmental Disabilities. We have our 501(c)(3) and we would love for someone with grant writing experience to join our team. We are always in need of financial support. If you can't donate money but you have other resources, check our Help Us page. If you are still not sure you can help, but want to keep in touch with what we’re doing, follow us on Facebook. We will help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We are excited to have you join the team!
Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
We are dedicated to improving the lives of those in our community. Your contribution today helps us make a difference.
Our office hours will be by appointment only for the time being.
